My MBP is a Santa Rosa, and I'm annoyed that Apple doesn't officially recognize that it supports Win7 64bit. After some poking around, here's how I got it to work.
Download Bootcamp 4.0 Drivers -- This site:
http://www.trackpadcontrol.com/blog/25- ... ivers.html
Has a link on some Apple CDN for the .pkg file containing the drivers.
1. I opened it up with 7Zip in Windows, and went through a few layers to extract BootCampESD.pkgPayloadPayload~.LibraryApplication SupportBootCampWindowsSupport.dmg0.Apple_ISO
2. I renamed the file from 0.Apple_ISO to BootCamp4.iso
3. I extracted the iso with 7Zip to a folder.
4. I used the directions from https://discussions.apple.com/thread/31 ... 0&tstart=0 to do the rest, because the old ways of running the installation files didn't work.
5. From the start menu, search for 'cmd', and right-click to run as administrator.
6. Navigate to the extracted folder.
7. From the prompt in that folder, run 'msiexec /i BootCamp64.msi'
This worked for me, hope it helps you.

If you can't run High Sierra because of hardware, you might run into the same issue with Win 10.

I have a 2010 Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard (10.6.8) installed and couldn't get the right Boot Camp upgrade using any of the Apple download software from within the bootcamp Application. After installing this Update/Upgrade suddenly all of the required drivers appeared in the Windows 'Device manager' and everything started working perfectly. Feb 12, 2014 For more information on Boot Camp, click here. Note: If you are using one of the Macs listed below, you should download Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5621 instead. MacBook Air (11-inch & 13-inch, Mid 2011) MacBook Air (11-inch & 13-inch, Mid 2012) MacBook Pro (15-inch & 17-inch, Mid 2010) MacBook Pro (13-inch, & 15-inch, Early 2011). Download VidCutter-4.0.0-macOS.dmg free. Direct download link.

Regardless, what you could do is forget traditional Boot Camp methods. Burn the Win 10 iso to DVD. Extract the Boot Camp files and either put them on a flash drive or another optical disc. Re-partition the disk. Alt Boot and choose the Win 10 disc, install. Look in Device Manager and use the extracted Boot Camp drivers to complete the hardware setup. You might find that you need a different version of Boot Camp for the correct drivers.

That means that you will need to Alt Boot to switch between OSs, but that's what I always did with official Boot Camp setups anyway.

If that doesn't work, a third party boot loader like rEFInd might help. http://www.rodsbooks.com/refind/
